Niagro-Nichirei do Brasil Agrícola
Ltda is a subsidiary of Nichirei Corporation of Japan (www.nichirei.co.jp),
founded in Petrolina, in the State of Pernambuco, in 1991, with the
aim of developing a project of Acerola with high standards of quality
and productivity.
Since 1995, Niagro has become a
Brazilian leader and pioneer in production, industrialization, and commercialization
of Acerola products. Since then, it has been expanding commercialization
of its products in national and international markets, and has been
establishing a better quality standard. Through its own technology,
it has developed specific products, such as Acerola Concentrates, as
well as it has added to its production line the processing of other
fruit pulps besides Acerola, such as Pineapple, Assai, Cashew, Guava,
Soursop, Mango, Passion Fruit, Strawberry, and Grape.
Nowadays, Niagro processes around 8.000 tons of Acerola/year, and it has been constantly improving its processing methods. In order to assure that only the best Acerola fruits are used as raw material to its products, the quality and sanitary controls are under a constant supervision, since planting.
LocationNiagro is located at the Northeast region
of Brazil, in the State of Pernambuco. Its commercial and administrative
office, where company’s head office works, is located in the city
of Recife, State Capital. This is a region traditionally known for
its development in medical, gastronomical, and tourism areas. Most
recently, exportation business has increased, specially because
of the proximity and development of Suape Complex, an area that
includes the port of Suape and several industrial poles. |

MarketAcerola is well-known for being a very rich source of natural Vitamin C, resulting in a wide range of possible applications, going through all kinds of beverages (juices, concentrates, blended drinks, cocktails, etc), food products (jams, flavored cereal bars, candies, etc), pharmaceutical products (medicines, pills, etc), cosmetic products, and some others. |
| Both at domestic and foreign markets, Niagro assures the perfect maintenance of quality for its products, from the production to delivery to customers, always within a high level of technology and excellent quality standards. NIAGRO has a structured distribution logistics, through its distributors and representatives, as well as a direct delivery, storage and cross docking system, thereby maintaining commercialization with supermarket chains, fast food, industrial cooking, industries and the other customers from many cities in several Brazilian states. At the international market, Niagro exports to several locations, such as Japan, Europe, USA, and Caribbean. Through a wide refrigeration chain and a structured distribution logistics, it assures a high technology level and excellent quality standard of its products, from production to delivery to customers.
